Dorr Township is one of seventeen townships in McHenry County. It covers portions of Woodstock, Bull Valley, Crystal Lake, and Lakewood.
The purpose of the Township is to perform the duties and exercise the powers granted in the Illinois Township Code, 60 ILCS 1/1 et seq. and the Illinois Public Aid Code, 305 ILCS 5/12-21 et seq. for the benefit of the residents of Dorr Township. It’s location, along with the Assessors office, is at 1039 Lake Ave., Woodstock.
The purpose of the Township Assessor is to perform the duties and exercise the powers granted in the Illinois Property Tax Code, 35 ILCS 200/1-1 et seq. for the benefit of Dorr Township.
The purpose of the Township Road District is to perform the duties and exercise the powers granted in the Illinois Highway Code, 605 ILCS 5/6-201 et seq. for the benefit of the residents of Dorr Township. It’s location is at 12322 Davis Road, Woodstock.
